Head Instructor GUSTAVO DESPERETTI
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gustavo has been involved in combat sports for most of his life.
As an avid boxer since his teens, and later practicing several martial arts, Gustavo has a wide array of knowledge and experience.
He has been training self defense for over a decade, and is a certified black belt instructor.
Gustavo completes quarterly instructor updates across the country in order to maintain his instructor qualifications and to ensure that his knowledge of the system is current and his students are receiving the latest Self Defense techniques. He also cross trains in boxing, Muay Thai, and tactical and executive protection.
He is passionate about teaching and is driven to share this knowledge with as many people as possible.
Gustavo has a straightforward approach in his teaching and believes in the practical ways of Self Defense.
In his free time, Gustavo loves to ride his motorcycle for long trips, BBQ master, and spending time with his family

Instructor GUSTAVO DESPERETTI JR
A native of Concord, Gustavo Jr started training in martial arts at the age of 4.
He is now the Teens and Pre-teens instructor at Dogo Defense Academy and enjoys working with kids.
Gustavo is a 2nd year student at Saint Mary’s College of California.
In addition to studying and teaching Self Defense, he enjoys working out, riding his dirt bike, hanging out with friends, and traveling.

Junior Instructor SAMANTHA DESPERETTI
Also born and raised in Concord, Samantha has been training in Self Defense since the age of 7.
She is the instructor for 4-10 year olds and loves working with the younger kids
